The 2026 Annual Spring Garden Tour was truly remarkable! We were absolutely delighted with the beautiful weather, our enthusiastic attendees, and the fantastic sales from our pop-up Garden Shop.
Thank you all for joining us at this significant non-profit event, which supports women, children, and various other non-profits within our community.

This year’s Live Your Dream recipient joined us for breakfast, where she recounted her inspiring journey toward becoming a Registered Nurse. As a devoted wife and mother of two, she has been the primary breadwinner since her husband became disabled following a motorcycle accident years ago.
Laurel's career has consistently focused on caring for others, and her family's unwavering support has fueled her aspiration to become a nurse. Despite the challenges, she has diligently pursued her dream while balancing her responsibilities at home.

Annual Spring Garden Tour!
This May, your passion for gardening can make a difference in others’ lives. Join the Soroptimists International of the Sierra Foothills for our Annual Spring Garden Tour on May 16 & 17 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, rain or shine. Explore six unique local gardens and one school garden. All proceeds directly benefit non-profits that support women and children through our Annual Mini Grants, Scholarships, and Live Your Dream Awards. Tickets are on sale now for $35.00 on our website wwwsierrasoroptimist.org. and the following point-of-sale locations: Grass Valley: Hills Flat Lumber, April’s Garden at A-Z, Weiss Bros Nursery. Nevada City: SPD, Prospectors Nursery. Penn Valley: New Life Nursery & Wildflower Nursery & Gifts. Tickets will be sold on the days of our event at each entrance of the gardens.

Soroptimist International of the Sierra Foothills is proud to introduce our scholarship award recipients. Our recipients were selected from a competitive pool of 108 applications. After careful review, the committee chose five outstanding students. We were deeply impressed not only by their academic achievements but also by their character and commitment. It is our hope that these scholarships will support and empower them as they continue their educational journeys. Congratulations to them all!
