Courtesy post: looking for foster / foreve home for this sweet 7 year old, Charlie! Friendly, loving and an expert cuddler.

One of his fosters ( myself ) lived in a small town with two little dogs and the other foster ( when I was traveling) lived on a ranch with horses, chickens and other dogs. He did well with all of the animals although probably will need slow and intentional intro to a cat.

Charlie is 8 year old chihuahua, possibly dachshund mix. Very loving and now very stressed at the shelter . If you are interested giving sweet Charlie a loving home; want a cuddle buddy and also walking companion , give me a call or text at 530-902-0933

If you know anyone in Smartsville where the Mooney Fire is and they need to house their animals as a temporary evacuation point, please refer them to Nevada County Fairgrounds, as they are taking all of the animals in there. They announced it on the Watch Duty app. and the Nevada County Sheriff's office announced it on Facebook. Please, that is available to all of you in Smartsville and surrounding.

We have such wonderful volunteers at Scooter’s Pals cat rescue that we'd like to recognize them for what they do.
Chris, who volunteers to socialize our cats, is who we want to recognize today for going over and beyond.
He stayed with the cats for hours yesterday, being the 4th of July, so that the cats weren’t alone.
He wanted to make sure they were okay when all the noise happened.
He stayed late to make sure the fireworks were over with before he left.
He said the cats all ran inside due to the noise but were fine.
We’re sure it's all due to him being there and the calmness they feel from him.
