ANIMAL CARE INTERNSHIP
Animal Place is one of the oldest and largest sanctuaries for farmed animals in the country. Nestled on 600-acres in Grass Valley, CA, Animal Place provides refuge to hundreds of neglected farmed animals and runs educational programming such as guided tours, on-site events, and outreach campaigns.
Put your compassion into action and join us for an animal care internship! The animal care internship is a great opportunity to work with farmed animals in a sanctuary setting. This is a very physically demanding position, and involves working outdoors. In your first few weeks you will learn routine animal care, primarily cleaning and feeding. Over time, you will also work directly with staff caregivers to assist in daily medical care and proper animal handling. You should be comfortable working individually and in groups, and be comfortable communicating questions with your supervisor. This sanctuary internship is great for the individual who wants hands-on experience with farmed animals!
