Congratulations Cindi Anderson!

All of us at the NCRCD would like to congratulate Cindi Anderson for being our Conservationist of the Year 2026.

Cindi was instrumental in the creation of the Working Lands III documentary, and her tireless efforts to gather and protect the history of forestry in Nevada County is priceless.

It's official: NID partners with Nevada Joint Union High School District Ranch to support hands‑on agriculture education.

This week, the NID Board of Directors approved a Memorandum of Understanding that sets a framework for collaboration. The agreement outlines shared goals to improve agricultural water-use efficiency, support best management practices and expand public outreach on water conservation and sustainable agriculture.

Farm Day 2026 Success!

Hundreds of Nevada County 2nd and 3rd graders attended Farm Day 2026 at the Nevada County Fairgrounds yesterday.

Another wonderful day of Ag - Edutainment was had this year thanks to volunteers from our community coming together to present the many facets of the Agricultural Industry to Nevada County's next generation of farmers, ranchers and conservationists.
