Nevada County Contractors' Association

Nevada County Contractors' Association Building a Strong Foundation in Nevada County since 1958! The Contractors Association. . . There is strength in numbers.

The purpose of the Association is to promote, foster, and maintain high standards in construction; to promote, foster and maintain integrity in business relations and ethical practices within the construction industry; to acquire, preserve and disseminate useful information for those in the construction industry; to give constant attention to public legislation, supporting that which may correct a

buses and protect public interests while, at the same time opposing that which may be found detrimental to the construction industry. By exchanging ideas and concerns unique to our industry, we gain in total knowledge and strength. This will benefit NCCA members who participate in Association activities. As we add new members, we gain new ideas, new skills, new experience, and new vision. As we continue to grow in membership, services and benefits will also grow with our progress. The Contractors Association is HOME for the entire construction industry, balancing the many concerns of public and private building owners, contractors, subs, suppliers, professionals and associates. We invite you to look into the many benefits of being part of our Association!

After three years with the NCCA, Molly Burton will be moving on from her role with the association, with her final day being Friday, June 12th.

Throughout her time here, Molly has been instrumental in supporting our members, managing the Planroom, coordinating events, and helping keep the association running smoothly behind the scenes. We are grateful for her time with the NCCA, the creativity she brought along the way, and the many contributions she has made to our association.

As Molly begins her next chapter, we are pleased to announce that Nico will be stepping into her role. Many of you already know Nico from her work in our scanning department, and she has been working closely with Molly to ensure a smooth transition. Moving forward, Nico will be your primary point of contact for Planroom services and printing needs.

Please note that all print requests and Planroom correspondence should be directed to [email protected]. This shared inbox will ensure your requests are received and handled promptly.

Please join us in thanking Molly for her years of service and welcoming Nico into her new role!

Meet the faces behind the NCCA Board of Directors! 👋

You’ve probably seen many of them around at NCCA events, job sites, and throughout our community, but we wanted to share our 2026–2027 Board all in one place.

Thank you to this group for their leadership, support, and commitment to our members and our local construction industry. 🔨

This year marked something special for the NCCA. Through the support of our Trades Expo sponsors, partners, and community members, we were proud to award our very first graduating class scholarships from the NCCA Scholarship Fund.

What started as a vision to connect students with careers in the trades is now directly helping local students take their next steps into the workforce. Every sponsorship and donation made through our Annual Trades Expo helps us continue investing in the future of construction and skilled trades right here in Nevada County.

You don’t have to be a contractor or business owner to make an impact. Whether you’re a tradesman, parent, community supporter, or local resident who believes in the next generation, every donation helps support students pursuing careers in the trades.

Donate to the NCCA Scholarship Fund and have your name recognized at the 2026 Trades Expo!

Donations can be made through the NCCA here:

For 25 years, Sierra Land Improvement, Inc. has been helping protect and beautify Nevada County’s Wildland-Urban Interface communities through defensible space, fuels reduction, and large-scale vegetation management.

Founded in 2001 by Mike Bengston and Phil King, SLI has grown from a single tractor-masticator operation into a trusted regional contractor serving HOAs, Fire Safe communities, government agencies, and private landowners across Northern California.

Their work has played a critical role in fuel reduction projects across thousands of acres and in recovery efforts following devastating fires including Paradise, Middletown, and the Dixie Fire. As a licensed Timber Operator and California Contractor, SLI continues to lead with professionalism, specialized equipment, and decades of field expertise focused on creating safer, more resilient communities.

We’re grateful to have Sierra Land Improvement as longtime members of the Nevada County Contractors’ Association and appreciate their continued commitment to strengthening and protecting our local communities.

Congratulations on 25 years of protecting Nevada County and beyond & cheers to the continued years of service ahead!
