A beautiful Woman Within weekend recently took place in Petaluma, CA, filled with courage, connection, and growth. 🌱

To the women who showed up willing to do the work, and to the women who led and held space with such care and wisdom—what a powerful reminder of what becomes possible when women come together in support of one another. 💕

The Board would like to welcome our new Social Media & Graphic Design Specialist, Jessica, to the Extended Leadership Team! 💕

Jessica completed her Woman Within Weekend in Yucaipa in February 2025 and has since brought her own perspective and style to the organization’s social media and visual presence. She loves working alongside a number of incredible women who are deeply committed to the mission of Woman Within and values the opportunity to help communicate that message in a way that feels meaningful, welcoming, and connected.

Outside of Woman Within, Jessica loves spending time outdoors, especially during the summer months camping, visiting natural hot springs, and enjoying the many lakes of the Okanagan. She also enjoys baking sweet treats for family and friends, despite not having much of a sweet tooth herself.

Fun fact: Although Jessica is British and spent her childhood in England, she has also lived in two deserts: one in Nevada, and the only desert in Canada. 🌵

The February 2026 Woman Within Weekend in Yucaipa, CA was an unforgettable experience: a beautiful journey of connection, empowerment, and transformation.

Women stepped courageously into their authentic selves, opened their hearts, and honored their unique stories. From moments of laughter to meaningful breakthroughs, each experience left a lasting impact and strengthened the bonds within our community.

This week, we celebrate Joanna Klein, Certified Circle Guide for the Woman Within community, whose presence, wisdom, and heart continue to impact so many women. 💕

Joanna completed her Woman Within Weekend in May 2010 in Forrest Hill and has since become a meaningful part of the transformational work within our community. She especially loves being part of transformation up close, whether guiding women through Circle Training or holding space on a Weekend facilitation team. Joanna is continually inspired by witnessing women discover something within themselves they didn’t know was there, or reclaim something they thought was lost.

For Joanna, what ties it all together is community. Woman Within has given her relationships that challenge her, mirror her, and call her to keep growing, women she respects deeply, leans on freely, and never stops learning from.

Outside of Woman Within, Joanna loves hiking, dining out with friends, fishing, dancing, and traveling. She also runs Journey to Legacy, the online business she founded in 2020, where she supports people in writing and finding meaning in their life stories.

Fun fact: Joanna put herself through grad school by jumping out of birthday cakes, with her husband serving as both her bodyguard and delivery driver! 😊

This week, we celebrate Sonia Holstein, our creative and passionate Merchandise Coordinator and a valued member of our Woman Within community! 💗

Sonia completed her Woman Within Weekend in Racine, Wisconsin, in November 2023. In her role as Merchandise Coordinator, Sonia brings creativity and fresh ideas to life. She loves dreaming up new merchandise and finding ways to express the spirit of Woman Within through thoughtful, meaningful items. For Sonia, this role is a fun and fulfilling way to contribute her creativity while supporting our broader mission of women’s empowerment.

Outside of Woman Within, Sonia enjoys cooking, going to concerts, singing karaoke, and hosting dinner parties with friends. A fun fact about her: she grew up helping in her family’s soft pretzel business and has been twisting pretzels since she was little!

We know you missed these! This week, we celebrate Carrie Weyerhaeuser, our amazing Scholarship Chair! 💗

Carrie completed her Woman Within Weekend in Julian, CA, in 2018. As Scholarship Chair, Carrie is passionate about helping women access the life-changing experience of a Weekend and other Woman Within workshops; especially those who might not otherwise be able to attend. She finds great meaning in opening doors for women to reconnect with themselves, knowing the ripple effect it can have in their lives and communities.

Carrie currently lives in Mexico with her partner and his two children, while also making time to visit her grown kids in the U.S. several times a year. Fun fact, when she’s not supporting scholarships, Carrie enjoys loudly cussing at lucha libre matches!
