Step into a little midsummer magic at the North Star House.

Join North Star House and the Nevada County Magicians Guild for the Midsummer Festival, a whimsical afternoon filled with magic, storytelling, wandering magicians, fairy-tale fun, hands-on activities, food vendors, and midsummer wonder for all ages.

Guests can enjoy live magical performances throughout the day, including Myth, Mirth, & Magic with Chris the Bard and Mr. Ray’s Inimitable Worm Circus, along with a costume parade presided over by Titania, the Fairy Queen. Children and families can explore the festival grounds, take part in a scavenger hunt, visit Titania’s Fairy Garden, enjoy face painting, make magical crafts, play games, shop the Goblin Market, and experience surprises throughout the day.

Costumes are highly encouraged, whether you arrive as a fairy, goblin, woodland creature, wizard, knight, flower sprite, or your own magical creation.

Come spend the afternoon in a daydream celebration of magic, midsummer wonder, and community at the North Star House.

Help our historic grounds and garden thrive. From planting and pruning to watering and weeding, our garden and landscaping volunteers help keep the North Star House grounds beautiful, welcoming, and full of life. Our first-ever Mother’s Day Tea Party was a wonderful success. Guests gathered at the North Star House for a beautiful afternoon of tea, treats, and community in celebration of Mother’s Day.

Join the creative force behind our community events at the North Star House! Our Events Team helps plan, organize, and host everything from concerts to cultural gatherings.
