In Ayurveda, consuming warm, cooked, and spiced foods is a key principle for maintaining a strong digestive fire, or agni, which is essential for good digestion, nutrient absorption, and toxin elimination. Warm foods help to balance the cold, dry, and light qualities of the Vata and Kapha doshas, especially during the colder seasons. I’ll be starting a week of soup beginning this coming Saturday, where each soup with be simple to prepare, inexpensive and deeply satisfying. Comment below if you’d like to receive the recipes.
