Holton's Drive for SIDS

After 11 wonderful years partnering with the City of Grapevine, our time in front of the Gazebo during city festivals has come to a close. As festivals evolve, the Convention and Visitors Bureau has made the decision to downsize, and unfortunately, our booth was one of the changes.

Shawn and I recently had a productive meeting with city leadership, and we’re hopeful about returning in a new location for GrapeFest. While we’re disappointed by the change, we continue to love and respect our city and remain optimistic about finding a new way to collaborate with the CVB that benefits everyone.

We will always be grateful to Gayle Hall, who gave us our start 22 festivals ago. She believed in our small charity, and thanks to her, hundreds of volunteers made her proud. We deeply miss her and her incredible leadership—she loved Holton’s Drive for SIDS, and we loved her.

To our volunteers: you are the heart of HDS. The number of you who have poured beer and given your time to raise awareness for SIDS is beyond counting. Hundreds of you have proudly worn Holton’s Drive for SIDS shirts, and each of you is part of our extended family. We’re forever thankful.

This week we got to do something we have been planning for a really long time. We awarded the inagural Holton Spradley memorial scholarships to 2 very deserving students that would have been Holton’s classmates at GHS. I’d like to thank the GCISD Education Foundation for helping to facilitate the process. The criteria for our scholarship is going into the fields of healthcare or child development. And a fun bonus is that both recipients happen to be heading to Texas Tech in the fall . It’s hard to wrap our heads around that this would’ve been his senior year but we are so proud of his legacy. 🦋❤️🦋

Happy Birthday sweet Holton! We love and miss you so much everyday!

Sweet Holton would have been 10 years old today! We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all of our amazing friends & family for supporting our family over the years! We will continue to raise awareness and help save babies! Happy Birthday Holton - we love and miss you!!!

We have decided to push back HDS golf tournament this year from October to sometime in the Spring (still deciding on a date and working with Sky creek). We feel like Fall is just so crazy and want to space our events out a bit. We look forward to seeing everyone in a few weeks at Grapefest (Sept 14-17)!! And will announce golf tournament date as soon as we nail it down! ❤️
