DFW Pug Rescue Club was founded in early 1996 and incorporated in July 1997 as a charitable, non-profit corporation. We are one of the l

argest pug rescue organizations in the United States having rescued and placed over 8,500 pugs. Veterinary care is our biggest expense averaging $220,000 a year. All pugs rescued are taken immediately to the vet where they are examined, tested and treated for parasites, infections, vaccinated, sterilized, and microchipped before being placed in a foster or permanent home. DFWPRC is an all-volunteer, foster-based organization — there are no paid positions. We do not have a staging area to hold our rescue pugs. We depend on the generosity of our volunteers to provide foster homes until permanent homes can be located. You can help to promote our mission and be a part of this exciting volunteer opportunity. Meet Maren! This friendly golden girl loves to chill and enjoy the little things. Maren is a sweet senior pug who loves her bed, getting under the blanket, gentle pets, and being carried. She is 13 years old and 16 pounds.

Maren is house, crate, and leash-trained. She is an easy pug who gets along with other dogs and people. Maren has IVDD which gives her a funny walk. Maren is polite at mealtime but needs her space from other dogs since she is laid-back and not rushing through her food.

Maren would do so well in a calm home that needs a reminder to relax and enjoy the day. Please apply to meet sweet, sleepy, affectionate Maren!

Lumberjack is a smart, sweet little pug who loves toys and naps. He is a great sharer who is energetic and gentle. He’s great with both cats and dogs and has so much love to give the people of the house! Lumberjack is 21 pounds and only 2 years old.

Lumberjack is good in the crate and on the leash. He is making good progress on house-training at his foster home. He totally loves his food but has good manners. He is so sweet and social, he would be a good addition to a home with cats or dogs. Lumberjack would also be a great solo pug to attentive humans.

This funny, easygoing pug is contagiously happy and playful. His foster home says he would make a perfect best friend, “The dog doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. My first thought is he would make some boy a wonderful dog.” Apply to meet Lumberjack and find his forever home!

FedX is a playful young pug in search of his forever home! He loves puzzle toys, bones, lick mats, snuggling with humans, and playing tag with other dogs. He likes other dogs and has been a good boy with kids 7 and up so far! FedX is 23 pounds and only 1 year old.

FedX is crate, leash, and house-trained! He should eat solo since he is curious about other dogs’ food. FedX is cautious around new men and will woof but is so loving once he warms up. He is easily persuaded by treats! FedX is a friendly guy who would fit in with other dogs in the household or as the center of attention.

FedX is a chill, playful guy who loves his toys and kids! Any family searching for a classic Velcro pug would have a great time with him. He is curious, fun-loving, and laid-back. Apply to meet FedX!
