Locks for Lilly is a St. Baldrick's event that raises money for Children's Cancer Research by holding head shaving events.

Locks for Lilly was created in honor of Lilly Armbruster, a brave cancer warrior that lost her battle at four years of age.

💙💙💙UPDATE! Since posting this last night, we went from a little over $28000, to $29,292!!! THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!🥰

🍀🍀🍀Today is 1 month since the St. Baldrick's Locks for Lilly 2022 event! 🍀🍀🍀
I am excited to share that to date, we have raised over $28,000 in donations for childhood cancer research! I know we still have a few donations to come in, which will eventually put us over the $30,000 mark. That is INCREDIBLE! I truly believe in the power of a community, a team. It takes us all. Every little bit helps. Every. Little. Bit. We are so grateful for everyone's love and support of our Lilly, our family, and the event! 💚💚💚💙💙💙💚💚💚

As of 9:26pm on 9/26/22, the Locks for Lilly event has raised 🍀$19,367.🍀That number is going to go up more w/additional donations and monies still coming, just have not been reported yet. The silent auction did well. The raffle did ok. The shaving of some additional locks raised $2000+ in cash, and the Lilly Giving Tree truly could have kept on giving if we had had more ribbons/envelopes to "gift" out.
I do believe I can speak for most of the volunteers (Kay, Steve, Cathy, Lindy, Johnny, Abby, CC, Ku**er, Jeff, Hayden, Sarah, Lauren F, Emily, Angellica, and Lauren J, Max) when I say, we were still recovering today from the fun on Saturday.😴 My body still hurts, I'm tired, I am for sure "emotionally hungover", but my ❤️ is so happy! We worked, we laughed, we sweat, and we raised funds and awareness. The core crew helped make Saturday a true SUCCESS. 💙
🎈I am incredibly grateful for those who showed up, that were not on the volunteer list, but wanted to help in whatever way they could. Thank you to Laxita Bolinger, Jim Baldwin, and CC's parents, and Chandra Steerman-Hofmeister Steppy for your time and support! 💙💙💙
🥰I've said it a few time already, but I compare Saturday to our wedding day. We had so much fun and saw so many faces, but didn't get the chance to see every single person. There was SO much going on, and I felt I did my best to at say hello, hug, have a quick convo, or even wave to someone on the other side of the room. Then Jeff mentioned a few people I never saw and noticed a few faces in pics that I never got to talk to. If I didn't get to say hello, hug, have a quick convo, or get to tell you thank you, I thank YOU now and HOPE that you understand. 😘
💚Thank you again to all who made a monetary donation. Thank you to those who donated an item for the silent auction or a gift card for the Lilly Giving Tree. Thank you everyone for your words of encouragement and love. I know I am missing so many names above, but not everyone is apart of the FB world. I HOPE my thank you reaches you. 💚

Today was spent on the final tasks and organization of things for the Locks for Lilly head shaving event on Saturday. We still have a few things to do, but we will knock them out tomorrow evening and will be set for 1p Saturday.

😊There is still time to sign up to have your head shaved. Scan the Locks for Lilly QR code below in the pics. Click Join, sign up (takes 2 minutes), and then join us on Saturday!

🤫Besides head shaving, we will also have a silent auction going. Check out the Silent Auction QR code below and check out the items. People are already bidding so join on in. There are:

We are also having, what my Mom brilliantly named the "Lilly Giving Tree." Make a donation of $25. Then pick a gold ribbon off the Lilly Giving Tree board. Whatever # is on your ribbon, will get you an envelope with the same #. In that enveople will be your "gift" which is of equal or more value of your $25 donation. We have:
🍀 $100 gift cards to Logan's Roadhouse and Calabrese restruarnts.
🍀 $50 gift cards to Buca Di Beppo, Bob's Chop House, and Amazon
🍀 $25 gift cards to Starbucks, Bread Zepplin, and more.

🎟🎟🎟We will have a raffle for a couples stay in a suite at the Westin Hotel in Southlake, with dinner for 2 at Jellico's, along with a spa package at Corinthian Well spa, and a blue tooth speaker. Package is worth $1000. 🎟🎟🎟

🖌We will have rock and mask painting for kids and big kids. A photo area for some fun pictures. 🍦Cupcakes by Sarah and beer served by some funny and kind bartenders. 🍺

🚗Parking available in Hop and Stings parking lot. On the side streets around Hop and Sting. In The Rec's parking lot (2 minute walk). Or park at the VIN hotel across the street (4/5 minute walk), but your car will be parked in the shade. 😉😉

We are less than 2 weeks away from the event now. Pace has been pretty quick in the last month and we are about to start running. The support leading up to the Locks for Lilly event has been amazing! We HOPE that you come out to see what we are doing this year and be a part of our special day.

Locks for Lilly starts at 1p at Hop and Sting Brewery in Grapevine.
🍀Silent Auction w/mobile bidding. Just a few items in our auction: A gentleman's basket w/a bottle of Jack Daniels, multitools, and Yeti drinkware. A James Avery, angel necklace. Star Wars drones. Firepits. And local hotel overnight stay w/GCs to local activities and restaurants. Have that bidding finger ready to out bid others.
🍀Gold Ribbon GC Selection. Buy and a gold ribbon from our Gold Ribbon "tree" for $20. Whatever # is on the back of your ribbon you select will be the same # envelope given with your GC prize inside. You are guaranteed to get back at least $20 in gift cards, but it could be more. 😉 We have giftcards to Amazon, Bob's Chop House, Bread Zepplin, StarBuck's, Hop and Sting, Ifratelli's and more!
🍀For the kids or the kids are heart, we will have an activities table where you can paint rocks or face masks. We will also have some delicous cupcakes made by Sarah, for a small donation.
🍀Of course there will be head shaving! Come see some locks shaved off by one of our amazing volunteer head shavers! Don't want to shave your head? How about your beard you have been growing out for a while? Arms? Eyebrows? Set your fundraising goal and watch that # grow. Show up to event. Get your head shaved. And then share your's and Lilly's story.

🍀There will also be good beer to drink, served by some long time and Locks for Lilly supporting bartenders. They are SO great! Varqueros Texas BBQ food truck will be there too and they have got some delishisly tasty treats.
