Please join us in congratulating our April Volunteer of the Month, Jordan! 🎉
Jordan has been a part of the Heart of a Warrior Farm family since July 2025, and he has become an incredibly important part of our team. Through dedication, hard work, and consistency, Jordan has been instrumental in our Barn Chores Program. Often taking on the majority of chores on his own and always helping make sure the farm continues to run smoothly.

Volunteers like Jordan are what keep our mission moving forward each and every day. His willingness to step up, help wherever needed, and support the farm does not go unnoticed.

We are so proud of all Jordan has accomplished so far and cannot wait to see what this year brings for him! If you see Jordan around the farm, be sure to congratulate him on a job well done! 👏🐴❤️

🐴💚 Support Heart of a Warrior Farm just by shopping at Kroger!
It’s easy to make a big impact, simply follow the steps in the photo below to link your Kroger Plus Card to Heart of a Warrior Farm. Once linked, Kroger will donate a portion of your everyday purchases directly back to our farm!
Every dollar truly counts. With the rising costs of feed, care, and daily farm operations, this program helps us continue providing excellent care for our equine partners and maintaining a safe, loving environment for all animals in our care.
Your groceries = real support for our mission. 💚🐎
Thank you for helping us keep the barn doors open and the tails wagging!

“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10 - a heartfelt prayer asking God for inner renewal and cleansing. It reminds us that true change starts within seeking a pure heart and a renewed spirit helps us let go of negativity, guilt, and distractions so we can live with greater purpose, peace, and integrity. We hope you are having a blessed Sunday!

Our next instructor is Molly! We’re excited to share a few of our amazing instructors and let them tell their stories in their own words!

"Hi, my name is Molly Wellman. I’ve been around horses as long as I can remember. My sister had a friend that taught riding lessons, and I received lessons in 1972 for Christmas. Yes, that was more than 50 years ago. I started riding on a Trakehner, not a well-known breed in central Ohio at the time. I don’t remember having a choice whether I was riding western or english, but english it was. I was smitten from day one. Over the next 45 years, I did everything imaginable with horses from training, showing, breeding and more. I taught lessons to children and adults alike. Off the track thoroughbreds, (OTTB) are my favorite breed of horses and I have owned a few over the years.
When I sold my farm in 2019, I was without a horse for the first time in my adult life. I moved in just down the street from Heart of a Warrior Farm and stopped by there due to a garage sale sign. When I walked into the garage, I saw an old friend Lisa from Jersey Baptist Church. I told her and her husband, Jim of my love of horses and said I might come back and volunteer if they needed help. I know God led me to this place as here, my love of HIM and horses could work hand in hand. Fast forward, I am now teaching traditional riding lessons on Monday evening. I have also been on the Board of Directors since 2023.
Seeing my riders grow to love horses and look forward to their Monday night lessons is very special to me. I have complete confidence that all will learn or discover something new about a horse every week."

Want to be part of something like this? We’re always looking for more helping hands! Whether you have horse experience or are just looking to learn, there’s a place for you here.
Send us a message or come out and see what we’re all about we’d love to welcome you to the team!

Our Yoga event this weekend went so well, even with a little unexpected weather. During the event, a thunderstorm rolled through and a cycling club riding down Beecher stopped at the barn when they saw the lightning moving in.

They stayed awhile, got out of the storm, and ended up learning more about our farm and what we do here. It was such a great reminder that sometimes the best moments are the unplanned ones. Bringing people together, sharing our mission, and creating community in unexpected ways.

Thank you to everyone who came out, supported the event, and made it such a memorable morning! ❤️
