Our club recognized The Ross family for their tremendous contribution to the Granville community as the 2026 Vocational Service Award recipients. Pictured are Granville Rotarians, Chuck Peterson and President Amy Huddleston, and two of the Ross family members: Nancy Ross and Leta Ross. Our club also gifted $500 to the Granville Public Library as part of our literacy efforts. What a great meeting today!

Thanks so much to Kevin Showe for letting us know his plans for the Buxton Inn.

They bought the Buxton in late March and have been renovating the buildings in preparation to reopen soon.

We are so excited to have you in our community and appreciate taking this wonderful iconic facility in the heart of the Village and making special again.

They are working on menus, lodging rooms and will even have an outdoor bar area (and reopening the tavern!!!)

Rotary is looking for host families in Granville!
We have an inbound exchange student from Brazil joining us this August and attending Granville HS — and we need a couple of wonderful families to host her for about 3½ months!

Hosting means opening your home, sharing your culture, and building a connection that often lasts a lifetime. Many host families stay in touch for years, and some even exchange visits down the road. It's a truly rewarding experience for the whole family!

At today's Rotary meeting, we had the pleasure of recognizing Jennifer Cochran-Mosquera, who is retiring from Granville Exempted Village Schools at the end of the year. She shared the wisdom she's had posted on her door for the past several years: "Through learning language, we learn about culture. Through learning about culture, we learn tolerance for others. Through learning tolerance for others, we can hope for peace."

Thank you so much to Mallory Meeker and Stephanie Dunlap with the Reentry Coalition for sharing their stories and passion for helping individuals reengage in our community after incarceration.

Whole Living Recovery operates 5 homes in our community.

Their commitment to those that they help and to our community is remarkable.

Granville Rotarians, Rob Drake and Chuck Peterson, gave an excellent presentation about "Business in Granville: A Timeline" at the Noon Rotary meeting today. You can hear this interesting history this Saturday, February 21st at 1:30p at the Granville Historical Society.

Thanks so much to Kate Ames and Jeremy Ball from Habitat for Humanity Mid Ohio

For Almost 50 years Habitat for Humanity has served communities across the country.

The local chapter was Founded in 1987 and has served over 1300 families.

Goal is to connect people to opportunity affordable housing

They have a network of volunteers and partnerships with local groups and churches but are always welcoming more engaged people from the community.

The "ReStores" revenue also supports the mission.

Ways to help:

- volunteer,
- donate dollars
-donate to the ReStore
- public support for housing forward policies and programs.
