The beloved Great Granville Picnic is back! 🎉

Join friends and neighbors on August 15 for an evening of live music, kids’ activities, lawn games, the community bake-off, and plenty of summer fun. While reserved tables have sold out, lawn seating is free and open to everyone—just bring a blanket, lawn chair and picnic basket.

As part of the Granville Community Foundation’s 55th anniversary year and Granville’s participation in the America250 celebration, we are proud to help bring this tradition back to the community and can't wait to gather together and celebrate what makes Granville special.

At the Granville Community Foundation, we believe strong communities are built through service, remembrance, and neighbors coming together. As we reflect on Memorial Day, we are grateful for the traditions that honor those who have served our country and connect generations through shared gratitude and respect. 🇺🇸

Pictured here are members of our local American Legion Post #398 of Granville and the Sons of the American Revolution. Thank you to the veterans, volunteers, and community organizations — including those who organized today’s Memorial Day parade and ceremonies — for continuing these meaningful traditions in our community.

🚨Another grant in action alert!

We are proud to partner with Village Creative Dance and support their efforts to make dance accessible for people with all abilities! Check out their post below - participation is FREE (thank you donors!) and the first class is June 8th at the Granville Public Library.

Thanks to The Granville Community Foundation, our Dance for All program is well underway! We’re making great strides creating an inclusive space where individuals of all abilities can experience the joy of movement, creativity, and connection through dance. We are so grateful for the support that’s helping make this possible, and here’s a little sneak peek of the impact already being made in our community! 💃✨

Do you know someone who could benefit from or would be interested in a FREE inclusive dance class? Tag them in the comments or share this post to help us spread the word and make dance accessible for everyone! ❤️

We loved connecting with neighbors at Welsh Hills School Dragon Lair Fair today and hearing Bright Ideas for a stronger Granville — including an outdoor amphitheater, a splash pad, and even a cable car on Broadway! 🚋

What would make Granville an even stronger community for you and your family? Drop a comment below with your ideas! 👇🏻

Thank you to Welsh Hills School for having us!

Yesterday, we were honored to celebrate the opening of Go Green Granville’s first solar project installation at Bryn Du Mansion. This milestone represents thoughtful leadership, strong partnership and a shared commitment to Granville’s future.

With The Granville Community Foundation serving as fiscal sponsor, this project helps bring meaningful benefits to the Village through sustainable energy, long-term utility savings and opportunities to educate others about the importance of this work. Yesterday’s gathering marked an important step toward future sustainability efforts and highlighted Granville as a community leading by example.

Visit www.gogreengranville.org to learn more about GGG’s important work. Their efforts go far beyond solar, with many other sustainability projects and education for our community.

Thank you, Granville Kiwanis, for helping bring the Wildwood Park sunshade project to the finish line. Their generous $10,000 matching gift, plus $2,000 raised through their pancake breakfast, helped fully fund the project with no remaining cost to Granville Recreation District. Our Board President was glad to thank Kiwanis in person at their meeting last night as we officially mark the close of this community project! See you at the playground! ☀️🛝
