The mission of Here Now Fund is to fundraise for charity cancer bike rides across the country raising awareness of big and small cancer centers and organizations, creating hope among patients and survivors, and inspiring an active approach to healthy healing regardless of diagnosis.
Why we do it:
After a diagnosis, harsh treatments, the "all clear" and then a relapse, Duane with his wife Jen have experienced the roller coaster that is cancer. The one thing that kept them hopeful and fighting each day was the very real perspective that despite it all, Duane is HERE NOW.
In the Summer of 2019 Duane joined Pelotonia, a cancer charity bike ride in central Ohio benefitting The James at OSU, Duane's hospital. Riding 35 miles while still undergoing treatment and raising more than $5,000, Duane and Jen tapped into an overflowing well of inspiration and hope that they want to spread to others.
