Any FeLV kitties out there looking for a feline friend? There are so few resources for the leukemia cats out there and this is a good one; we also don’t euthanize these guys (some rescues do because they feel there is no other choice) but they sure are hard to find homes for — and care for in the process to prevent spread.

Our most visited room is the leukemia room. And this is one of the reasons why. They stand at the door with pleading eyes just hoping someone will spend a few moments with them. One of A Kind Pet Rescue is one of the only rescues in the state with a program that finds homes for these cats. They have so much love to give.

We don't always get to see them find furever. Sometimes, we love them until they can't go on. We invest our pain into finding the ones that remain homes.

If you have dogs or other FeLV+ cats, please consider giving one of these cats homes. Our FeLV+ cats are always the most amazing and loving cats. They deserve to have a family, even if only for a short while.

In over 30% of cases of FeLV, they can live for years. Sometimes even aborting the virus. That's a pretty good chance. Will you give one a chance?

Why should you microchip your pet? 🐾

Accidents happen — doors get left open, gates don’t latch, and sometimes a window screen isn’t as secure as we thought. Even indoor pets can slip outside unexpectedly.

Microchips are implanted safely between your pet’s shoulder blades and registered directly to you as their owner. There’s no yearly fee — once the chip is placed, that unique number permanently identifies your pet for life.

If your pet is ever found, a vet office or humane society can scan the chip, access your contact information, and help reunite you and your pet quickly and safely. 🐾❤️

We’ll be offering pet microchipping for just $25 per pet — a simple way to help make sure your pet can find their way back home if they’re ever lost. Microchips typically cost $50–60 at most vet offices and clinics, so this is a great opportunity to get it done at a lower cost!

We’ll also have:

🎀 Cat ears
🎡 Spin-the-wheel prizes by donation
🎟️ A raffle basket

Petco Heath ; We currently have 2 wonderful cats/ kittens here looking for their furever home!

Petco Mount Vernon ; No cats currently here we will update once more cats have been brought to the store

These four stores make it possible for more cats to/ kittens to find their furever home

Meet Sunny

Sunny came to us with a litter of babies, a sweet & docile girl.

This wise and gentle girl has earned her retirement and is dreaming of a quiet home where she can be spoiled for once.

With her soft purrs, soulful eyes, and calming presence, Sunny is the perfect companion for lazy afternoons and warm laps.

She's done her time as a mama—now it's her turn to be someone’s baby.

She would do best in a quiet home without daily kid chaos. She gets along with other cats and would be fine with a cat who is as even tempered as she is.

An estimated 5 years of age

Did you know that we are adoption partners with the Polaris PetSmart? We have 8 adoptable cats and kittens currently at the store! You can visit with them daily during open store hours -- application online, though there is a paper form in store for anyone that doesn't have web access.

Meet Jockey, Crow, Chowder, Bisque, Stew, Gumbo and Rosette! Nibbles is currently there but is pending adoption! The first 6 are just babies -- while Rosette is a toothless granny😅. She'll save you some dental bills down the road.

Let’s Shout out the adult cats that are often over looked for kittens !!

We have plenty of adorable adult cats that are ready for their forever home as well !!

Take a few mins to check them out, share the post and help us find them their furever home

Applications on our website & most our in our cat lounge (Whiskers Catnip Cottage) and you can stop by to meet these wonderful cats this weekend !

- Please note if they are not located in the lounge on their specific picture it says current location !

- If they are currently in foster home please fill out a pre application for cat and let us know specific cat we will then set up a meet & greet (no this doesn’t mean you have to adopt or your application says your committed to adopt that specific cat after meet & greet)

- If they are in specific store (Petsmart / Petco ) fill
Out an application- with specific cat your looking at and one of our volunteers will meet you at the store for meet and greet (will coordinate all details thru email)

Meet Willow. She will take a day or three to adjust (she needs a safe hideaway), but she is the most amazing, sweet, and very social girl. She’s currently at Petco in Heath! Mondays spotlight of the week meet Loki

Loki is a striking Bengal boy with a big personality, emerald green eyes and an even bigger heart.

Though he’s declawed, he hasn’t let that slow him down one bit — this handsome guy still loves to explore, chat with his people, and soak up all the attention he can get.

Loki is used to dogs and most definitely needs someone who is home a lot and willing to interact with him & provide enrichment and exercise options.

He’s looking for a loving home where he can be both your loyal sidekick and part of the family crew.

Preference to adopters with Bengal experience, as they can be a handful! He is an owner surrender and we are told purebred Bengal...
