The Jolly H's held our monthly meeting at the fairgrounds last night, focusing on rabbit and poultry showing. We were fortunate to have Jill Glover share her wealth of knowledge about rabbit and poultry showing, as well as showmanship skills.

Members received handouts with detailed information on showing and scoring both rabbits and poultry, along with Cloverbud project journals.

It was both a fun and educational evening, and our members gained valuable knowledge as they prepare for fair season. Here are a few photos from the meeting to show what we've been up to!

Beautiful spring weather and a great group of 4-H kids made for a perfect day for our spring Adopt-a-highway clean-up 🌱☀️

There’s something special about coming together to take care of the place we call home. A few hours of hard work goes a long way in leaving our community just a little bit better than we found it.

Proud of these kids and their willingness to give back!

The annual fair auction is coming up on May 13th! These funds help support our fair and all the amazing opportunities it brings to our kids and community.

For many of our 4-H youth, the county fair is the highlight of their year and quite possibly their favorite part of 4-H. Your support helps make those experiences possible.

The Jolly H's will be there running the food table, so be sure to stop by, grab something to eat, and say hi to the kids.

We love seeing our members bring what they are learning into 4-H! These three performed “The Midwest Song” today created by their teacher to help them learn the states and capitals of the Midwest.

A huge shout out to Mrs. Feit for coming out today to cheer them on. It means so much to these kids when someone shows up on their own time and it does not go unnoticed.

What a great afternoon at the Burnett County 4-H Cultural Arts Fest! Our 4-H members represented the Jolly H’s across so many areas including arts and crafts, photography, music (vocals, instruments, and piano), drama, dance, and communications projects like short stories, poetry, and demonstrations.

We’re so proud of each member who shared their talents today. Our club performance of Count on Me was a perfect reminder of what 4-H is all about… supporting one another, building friendships, and knowing you always have someone in your corner 💚

Maple Syrup Tour 🍁

The Jolly H’s had the opportunity to visit a local maple syrup operation, and it was a great hands-on learning experience. It was a beautiful night on the farm as we walked the woods to collect sap. Then it was back to the sugar shack to learn about the MANY intricate steps it takes to turn sap into syrup.

Sampling was a highlight as we were offered fresh syrup, different flavors, and even maple cotton candy!

Experiences like this are what 4-H is all about, learning by doing and connecting with our local community.

A big thank you to Julie and Doyle of Christian’s Maple Syrup for welcoming us and sharing their knowledge and products with us! We truly appreciate the time and care that goes into their craft.

Nothing better than friends, laughter, and a little time on the ice to end our weekend. ⛸️❄️ It was fun for all ages. Kids and grown-ups alike tested their balance skills (some more than once 😉).

Thank you to the Burnett County 4H Leaders Association for hosting such a fun (and free!) skating event for our youth!

We had SNOW much fun tubing with our 4-H crew yesterday at Trollhaugen!
Was unable to capture everyone with the camera as these kids didn’t slow down, we had a blast!
