Crossing Bridges Therapeutic Riding Center is a non-profit in Grants Pass, OR, which serves students of all walks of life, ages 3 and up. The mission of Crossing Bridges TRC is to enrich the lives and hearts of individuals and their families through the healing power of equines. At Crossing Bridges, student’s will be given the tools and support they need to overcome obstacles and bridges in their

own lives. Crossing Bridges will provide students with a stable and safe environment where they can grow and thrive under the direct supervision of a PATH Certified Instructor, caring volunteers, and equine companions.

Have you ever actually thought about how you X-ray a 1,200+ lb horse?

This week, our new horses at CRB went through full health exams—including X-rays—and it turned into such a cool learning moment for our students.

Not only do we prioritize the health and soundness of every horse in our program, but moments like this also give our riders a deeper understanding of horse care beyond the arena.

✨ Fun facts about horse X-rays:
• Horses usually stay standing (no laying down like humans!)
• Portable X-ray machines are brought right to the barn
• Protective gear is worn by handlers + vets for safety
• Multiple angles are taken to fully assess joints and hooves
• It’s a quick, non-invasive way to catch issues early

At CRB, it’s not just about riding—it’s about connection, education, and care at every level. 💛
