September is Hunger Action Month, a nationwide effort to raise awareness about hunger in America and inspire action. Here in Josephine County 1 out of every 5 Josephine County residents access emergency food services.

Together with thousands of other food banks and pantries in the Feeding America network, the Josephine County Food Bank is taking September to talk about hunger and inspire our community to take a stand.

Every action―big or small―is one step closer to an America where no one is hungry. When people are fed, futures are nourished, and we can all reach our full potential.

We have lots of great things planned in the community throughout September and and hope you will join us in our fundraising efforts to help our friends, neighbors, and families all across Josephine County nourished.

SEPTEMBER IS HUNGER ACTION MONTH!
This September, we’re racing to help our community!
Join us for Rex on the rogue on September 20th Grants Pass Downs as we come together to raise food and funds for our friends and neighbors facing hunger.

Our goal for the month of September is to collect 10,000 POUNDS OF FOOD!

Bring your family, friends, and TWO cans of food, and you’ll get FREE ADMISSION to the race, and enjoy a fun-filled afternoon,
Cheer on the Rexes
Bring 2 cans of food
Help raise funds
Support your neighbors
Help us reach our 10,000-pound goal!

For our recent staff in-service day, our team had fun volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul.

We spent the afternoon painting their kitchen and workspace area where dedicated volunteers prepare healthy meals for their outreach programs.

St. Vincent de Paul feeds about 200 community members weekly, and we wanted to help their hard-working crew have a bright, fresh, and welcoming environment to do this vital work.
