Shout out to our partners at Freedom Farms! From mountain top brainstorming sessions to getting boots on the ground with their youth program, we’re so thankful for the work these folks did in our forest this month.

Granny Brenda had the best time hanging out with the youth at Enchanted Forest Farm decommissioning one of our steepest skid roads and piling slash. We are all looking forward to more days like this in the future.

Our forest went through an eco logging project earlier this year to address the serious Douglas fir die off and overcrowding. She’s looking a little haggard and messy in this post project state, but we now have the perfect lab of materials to train the next generation of foresters, firefighters, and land stewards. Workforce development programs like Freedom Farms are making such a huge difference in the youth of our community and we are overjoyed to be in partnership. 🌲

Our founder and local legend, Brenda Patton turns 85 this weekend! As a gift to her, in honor of all the wonderful work she’s done for the community, she’s asking that you consider donating to our very first fundraising campaign!✨

Caring for this land and the kids that come to Enchanted Forest has been her life’s passion. She wants to make sure that this land is protected for future generations; Table Rock Foundation is doing the work to make that a reality. Your contributions—whether monthly, annual, or one-time gifts—will help push this work and our mission forward.

Brenda is kicking off her celebration this Sunday the 24th with a wildflower hike at 2 pm, followed by a traditional salmon bake at 5 pm. Bring a potluck side to share if you’re able. No gifts please; your presence, and any donations you make are gift enough.

Reach out if you need directions to The Enchanted Forest. 🌲

Table Rock Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization.

Table Rock Foundation manages 232 acres of private forest land in Grants Pass, OR as a living classroom to serve our community. It has been established as a 501 (c)3 nonprofit since 1996 but has only recently rebooted from a passion project among friends into a fully operational model. We are currently developing our long term programming, solidifying partnerships, and securing funding to make this forest available for regular community use, education, kids programs, and workforce development in forestry and fire.

It is our goal to solidify Brenda Patton’s legacy of love for the land, the youth, and our strong community, for generations to come.

Stay tuned for more ways to get involved and get boots on the ground in our beautiful legacy forest. 🌲

Here’s a small snippet of our origin story from our Founder and Rainbow Grandmother, Brenda Patton:

“My husband and I bought our home and three acres on Shan Creek Road in 1977. In the mid-eighties, we began buying “high-graded” forest land adjacent to our property and wrote an aggressive forest management plan designed to bring the land back into balance. We currently have 232 acres. The property has many zones and micro climates. It has been lovingly restored to its natural state and is an ongoing process of hard work and joy.

It is a magical piece of property and its ability to bring healing to those who come to it has been very apparent to us. I am looking forward to this land being available for future generations to enjoy.”
