We have a wheelchair accessible boardwalk for hiking, fishing, and a campground in Grant, Colorado.

Come visit Wilderness On Wheels! We have boardwalks for hiking, a trout pond, camping, and cabins ~ all wheelchair accessible.

📌 45924 U.S Hwy. 285, Grant, CO 80448.
Located on highway 285, halfway between Bailey and Fairplay. Right beside Kenosha Pass!
🐶 We are dog friendly. Dogs must be on a leash and pick up after them! Thank you
🌲 We have two accessible boardwalks for hiking as well as a regularly stocked pond for trout fishing.
🧺 There are plenty of picnic tables and gazebos, perfect for a lunch spot.
🏕️ We have accessible cabins, tents, and huts for overnight stays. Book a stay on our website!

Wilderness On Wheels opens for the season on Friday, May 22nd. We’re excited to welcome everyone back! This year is also the 40th Anniversary of Wilderness On Wheels creating equal access to nature. Join us for a celebration and our WOW Fest in August. See you then!

Unfortunately, our fishing bin was lent out last season and not returned. Please help us restock so people can enjoy a fun fishing season this year! April is National Volunteer Month! We so appreciate all of the volunteers that help out at Wilderness On Wheels to keep our facility open and accessible. Thanks to you, we are able to play a huge role in making nature more accessible for everyone! One of the projects we need volunteers to work on is sanding and painting the benches along the boardwalk and also picnic tables. Please reach out if this volunteer project sounds like something you would want to work on!
