We had a great day at the Farm City Tour! Big thank you to Morgan Farms, Dixie Ag Solutions, Mitchell Grocery, and everyone else that played a role in making today a success. The kids had a good time, and learned a lot about what all it takes to put food on our tables!

The Ag. Department has been busy today! We have spent most of the day freshing up our garden area beside our shop. We totally rebuilt one raised bed, tilled up the dirt, brought in some potting soil, and planted two beds with some carrots. Tomorrow we are going to work on getting a couple more raised beds ready to plant some lettuce! It has been a productive day, and we got to enjoy some beautiful weather!

Very proud of all the hard work our Ag. students have put in this week! We have 10 picnic tables ready to go to the Town of Grant Park. Special thank you goes to Mayor Janice Jones-Bailey for reaching out to us to build these tables! Once we get more supplies ordered, we will start on individual orders. Thanks

Good afternoon,
We are discussing the idea of building picnic tables as one of our big woodworking projects this year. We are just trying to gauge interest in who might be interested in purchasing a picnic table! They would primarily be built from 2x6 pressure treated lumber, with a table top length of 72 inches. We are hoping to keep the price around $150 a table. These would be for pick up at our Ag shop. With local delivery maybe possible. If anyone has any contacts with local camps, parks, etc. please have them reach out to me. The building project would probably begin in late September or early October. The picture is similar to the table that we would build. Feel free to message me here or email me at [email protected]

Thanks
