Update- Our sweet girl was able to get her PET scan completed yesterday morning. She was supposed to have two CT scans right after the PET scan but for some reason, those CT scans did not get confirmed and scheduled. The oncology clinic tried to get them scheduled for us while we were at the hospital yesterday, but unfortunately, we were not able to get the two CT scans completed. We will go at a later date to get those.
We do not have the results from the PET scan yet but hopefully we will have those soon. While our day did not go according to plan, there were small blessings throughout the day.
1. After we found out we were not scheduled for CT scans like we thought we were, we went to the oncology clinic to see if they could get those scheduled. While we were there, one of the oncologists told us one of their new patients was recently diagnosed with the same type of cancer Kensley had (Ewing Sarcoma) and they asked if they could share our contact information with them. The only reason we went to the oncology clinic yesterday was to see if we could schedule the CT scans. But God had another reason for us to be there. If we would have not had the mess up with the CT scheduling, we would not have been there to give permission for this family to have our contact information.
This may seem so simple to others, but it was such a sweet reminder that His ways are better than our ways. We look forward to connecting with this family who is walking a similar journey.
2. Kensley had an urology appointment yesterday afternoon and everything with her kidney is looking great!🙌🏼
3. We were able to go to 5th floor and visit some of our sweet friends! We only got a picture with a few but it was so great to see all of them! We love our 5th floor family so much!!🥰❤️
I will updated with PET scan results once we get those and also with the date of the CT scans. We love each of you and thank you all for the continued prayers!🥰🙏🏼❤️🎗️
