This month we held our annual volunteer potluck picnic! 🧺 ❤️

A very special thanks to Seth Streblow & Jen Jager from the Avera Granite Falls Ambulance Service. They spoke about the use of AED’s and how important they are. These devices are in most public places around town. They are very easy to use but few people are comfortable using them.

Seth also touched on the “FILE OF LIFE” refrigerator magnet. Everyone should have one in their home especially caregivers and our elder community. These magnets are essential for first responders. When they come into your home for an emergency they can gather medical information on your behalf.

We have these magnets in the office for anyone who would like them!

Jen and Seth from the Avera Granite Falls Ambulance team were recently invited to join the Granite Falls Living at Home/ Block Nurse Program for their summer picnic. They shared helpful information about living safely at home, mental health and personal support, and some of the common causes of emergencies among older adults.

It was a great opportunity to connect with the dedicated staff and volunteers who work each day to support and care for older adults in our community. Thank you to the Living At Home Block Nurse Program for the invitation—and for all you do to help our friends and neighbors live safely, independently and with support close to home! 💚

The volunteer of the month for July was Sheryl Jacobson 🥰

She helps with our Gentle Exercise class, and is on the committee for Reminiscing Over Coffee as well as Heart To Heart. We appreciate her so much ❤️

A little late posting but last week we held our July Reminiscing Over Coffee! ❤️ It was so much fun to hear everyone’s favorite memories about the Fourth of July growing up. They decorated wooden stars and had a picnic!

The next Reminicing Over Coffee is going to be held Tuesday, August 25th. It will be our last one of the summer, if you’re interested please call the office with any questions!

MN Aging Pathways is a great resource for questions regarding Medicare options, Assistive Technologies and most any support service available to seniors in our area. Hats off to our friends at MN River Area Agency on Aging.

Connecting our community to the right resources is what we do best. Resource Coordinator Ashley and Contact Center Manager Kylie were out recently sharing valuable information on Minnesota Aging Pathways. Are you able to identify Where's MNRAAA?
