Supporting survivors and families takes all of us. We’re grateful to work alongside you to help people feel heard, supported, and connected to the care they deserve.

Thank you for standing with survivors and helping remind our communities that no one has to face violence alone.

You don’t have to know exactly what you want to do next before you ask for help.

Someone experiencing domestic violence may not be ready to leave. They may have questions about housing, money, their children, court, safety or what their options even are.

Sometimes they may simply need someone who understands to listen.

That’s one of the reasons we’re grateful to have WoMen's Rural Advocacy Programs, Inc. (WRAP) serving families in our communities.

WRAP provides free and confidential support for people affected by domestic violence and other forms of violence and exploitation. Their advocates can help someone talk through options, develop an individualized safety plan, navigate legal and court needs, find housing or transportation assistance, and connect with other resources.

WRAP also supports young people through its Youth Program, including Leaders & Legends, which creates opportunities for youth to build confidence, strengthen communication and develop life skills.

No one should have to figure out violence or fear alone - and reaching out for information or support doesn’t mean you have to already know what comes next.

This month’s Community Spotlight is WRAP, and we’re grateful to have them as a resource throughout our region.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and WRAP is honored to be featured as 100.1 Big Country’s October Community Spotlight!

A heartfelt thank-you to 100.1 Big Country and co-sponsor Johnson, Moody, Schmidt & Kleinhuizen for helping us raise awareness, share resources, and remind survivors across our rural communities that they are not alone.
