2026 registration is underway, and each of our sessions are now full. The waiting list is also full for our 1st session for both boys and girls, but the waiting lists for our 2nd and 3rd sessions are fairly short, especially for boys. If you haven't signed up yet, we still encourage you to register to get on a waiting list. We always have quite a bit of shifting between now and summer, so there is still a possibility of a space opening up. No deposit is needed to get on a waiting list, but we still would like you to register on the website so we have all of your information should a space become available.

Register for a waiting list on the website: www.hvc-wa.com

We are excited for another fantastic summer at HVC in 2026! If you have any registration questions, please send an email to: [email protected], or call the camp office at (425)330-2974.

Happy Holidays!

Summer 2025 ... "That's a Wrap!"

It is always hard when summer comes to an end, because it means the fun and adventure at HVC is done for another year. The friendships and memories created this summer were truly awesome. We would like to thank all of the campers for making this a summer to remember, and want to give a huge thank you to our outstanding staff for all of their hard work this summer!

We will now take a short break, and then start planning for the summer of 2026. We will announce the 2026 session dates by the end of September. The plan will be to open registration on December 1st, with returning families having the option of registering a day earlier. We’ll post specific information on dates and registration when it is available.

"When summer rolls around”, we’ll be ready to go again!

Hello everyone,
We are getting in touch with a request for anyone that is willing.

The current Administration has proposed a budget for FY26 that would potentially eliminate the Agencies that we use (along with many other camps) to hire international staff. So, this will not effect the summer of '25, but would effect future summers.

We have found that the addition of international staff has truly enhanced the camp experience for everyone over the years. We have also received lots of positive feedback from camper families that support the cultural aspects of having international staff at HVC. It would be very sad if this cultural component was eliminated from the camp experience.

If Congress were to enact the president’s budget, it would decimate the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and eliminate over 150 time-honored exchange programs, including those that we use to hire international staff. The budget proposal shows a fundamental misunderstanding of programs that, at their core, enhance American safety, security, and prosperity, and the proposed cuts put the futures of the Americans who participate in and work on exchange programs in jeopardy.

Exchange programs are a proven investment in America – an investment in our economy, in our people, and in our foreign policy influence and interests. Congress needs to hear loud and clear that to expand America's global influence, it’s important to invest more in international exchanges, not less.

So, if anyone would like to help, the time is now. Please send a letter/email to your congressional representatives and request that they reject the Trump Administration’s budget proposal to defund the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), and keep ECA’s funding at its current level, or $741 million, for FY26.

Thank you for your help!
Todd McKinlay
