It was a great honor this evening to present to Mayor Parkinson and the City of Granite City, IL a commemorative plaque to honor Granite City native 4 Star General Andrew Jackson Goodpaster.

The Nicol Foundation is extremely honored to present to Mayor Parkinson and the City of Granite City an eagle memorial statue to honor ALL military veterans and first responders. Formal dedication was held on Monday, October 28, 2024. Residual funds from the Granite City Hometown Heroes banner project were used to seed the project with the balance provided by TNF. The memorial is located between the GCPD and GCFD on Madison Ave.
Our hope is that all passing would thankfully pray for our heroes in appreciation and for their safety. We also want our heroes to be reminded that the vast majority of all our citizens love and appreciate them for their service. God Bless all our Veterans, First Responders, great city, and country.

Please join us this next Monday, October 28th at 11am for the dedication of JACK the eagle The Nicol Foundation donated to Granite City in honor of all military veterans and first responders. The memorial is positioned between the GCPD & GCFD on Madison Ave.

PURPOSE In honor of his family, ancestry, and business, founder Kevin G. Nicol’s dream is to establish a foundation that supports the fundamentals he believes are the most important to our country and future: 1. Youth: Our nation’s future depends on our youth.
