Bright Spot Pediatric Stroke Building awareness, education and support for Pediatric Stroke. We found out that Imogen had a stroke possibly due to a placental infection.

After having a normal and full-term pregnancy we had no idea that our little girl could and would have a stroke before birth. Our whole world was turned upside down and we had no idea what was going to happen next. Starting this charity is my way of helping families to navigate through the uncertain, stressful, and scary times that every parent goes through when they find out that their child has

had a stroke. I had to do lots of research, ask lots of questions, find resources to help our daughter, and grieve the loss of what we thought life would be like. Today our 2 year old little girl is doing wonderfully and by looking at her you would never know she's had a stroke. Early intervention, support and education is key in helping our little ones thrive and grow.

Our Story

Bright Spot Pediatric Stroke is a 501(c)(3) organization that has been created to bring support and awareness to the children, families, and caregivers impacted by a stroke.

A child that has been affected by a stroke can benefit greatly by getting more information into the hands of parents, caregivers, medical providers, therapists, and teachers. Most people do not even realize that it is possible for a child to have a stroke, especially one that is in utero.

A pediatric stroke can often go undiagnosed because a parent or caregiver isn’t aware of the signs that it’s happening or that it has happened.
