House of Prayers Inc. The House of Prayers is a non denominational, not for profit organization, helping to provide information and resources to those who are in need.

The House of Prayers Inc was founded by my grandmother on November 24, 1981, just 12 days after I was born, and then I inherited the organization when I was 30 years old, from my mother who passed away on Valentine's Day 2012. I am not traditional, in the sense that I do not have a building made by the hands of man that I go to worship in, as my understanding, (point of view,) is that that the "body is the temple, host for the holy spirit, and worship is done in spirit and truth." Again, from my point of view, that is why Jesus said, "the day will come and now is you will not worship in Jerusalem, or on the mountain," because "the kingdom of God is within you," hence, "the kingdom of heaven is at hand." ( John 15:17 )

If I may recommend, study the Ten Commandments, and then ponder why those laws exist. For instance, I think that they were provided to help prevent human extinction. Jesus said the first two were the most important. Why? I think the first is this, God is a Spirit with feelings too, and doesn't want to be forgotten by anyone. The second I think, to love thy neighbor as thyself, represents treating others as you wish to be treated, with regard, respect, and consideration for welfare and safety. There is no law against gentleness and self control for good reason, so while you study that, practice this.
