We had a wonderful general meeting — sharing a meal together, hearing an inspiring update from Tom Stanko with St. Vincent de Paul of Roseville, and getting a behind-the-scenes look from our South Placer firefighters.

As always, don’t forget to check the calendar or app regularly — new volunteer opportunities are being added all the time! Please also remember to log your hours and snap a few photos while you’re out helping.

Proud to partner with the Friends of the Granite Bay Library for our thrid annual Beautification Project! Our btc boys and coaches (parents) rolled up their sleeves this weekend to spruce up the library grounds with weeding, mulching, and more.

Today, we are celebrating our final senior spotlight. We can't wait to recognize our 26 graduates at the General Meeting on Sunday!

SPOTLIGHT on MATTHEW

What was your favorite btc philanthropy?
My favorite BTC philanthropy to volunteer for was Warfighter Overwatch. My Dad is a veteran and so supporting the military is important to my family.

What will you miss the most about high school?
I will miss not being able to see friends I've had for a long time every day when I graduate.

What are your plans after graduation?
After high school, I will be attending Cal Poly SLO to major in civil engineering.

My favorite btc philanthropy was Loaves and Fishes.

What will you miss the most about high school?
I will miss all my friends I've made over the last 4 years.

What are your plans after graduation?
I will be attending UC Santa Cruz to study biology.

My favorite philanthropy was Loaves and Fishes, really rewarding to prep and cook food for people you know can really use the help.

What will you miss the most about high school?
I will miss going to football games and other activities with my group of friends.

What are your plans after graduation?
I am going to Europe for a few weeks right after graduation and then I am heading off to college at Washington State University to study business.

What was your favorite btc philanthropy?
My favorite btc philanthropy was the Special Olympics soccer event out in Davis. I participated in that event nearly every year and really enjoyed it.

What will you miss the most about high school?
I will just miss my group of friends, doesn't really matter what we were doing we always had a good time.

What are your plans after graduation?
I am going to Europe for a few weeks right after graduation with a group of kids from Granite Bay and then I am heading off to college at the University of Utah to study business.
