Granger Parks & Recreation is seeking a Part-Time Recreation Assistant to support programs and facilities during evenings and weekends (0–20 hours/week). If you enjoy working with the public and helping community programs run smoothly, we’d love to hear from you!
✅ Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise participants and facilities during Parks & Rec activities
• Set up/tear down equipment, light maintenance, and housekeeping as needed
• Assist with basic issues/complaints and enforce facility policies
• Respond to incidents/emergencies and complete reports
• Communicate updates to the Parks & Rec Director (weather/emergencies)
⭐ What we’re looking for:
• Strong communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills
• Dependable, respectful, and able to work with minimal supervision
• Comfortable working with children, parents, and patrons of all ages
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors/outdoors in various weather conditions
📌 Qualifications:
• Must be 18+
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
• Flexible schedule including evenings/weekends
