Our "literal" Race to Save Lives/"short, physical" Walk for Hope, Sat, Oct 17, Howard Park, South Bend. Just a final update.
If I have the photo of your lost loved one from previous years, I will assume that I may use it for Oct 17th.
Currently, we have 40+ High School Students from, Penn, SBCSC, Brandywine, and Niles (this is the su***de prevention part).
I am estimating an equal number of survivors will be present to share information on their lost loved one (survivors benefit in sharing information).
Online registrations are now closed since we had to order the shirts (tie-dye purple), but, one can register at the event.
One does not have to register to attend. Just come and support the students and survivors.
Program: 9:00 am an information table and a beads table will be available. I will say a few words beginning at 10:00 am. 10:15 am High School Students will lead the walk with photos on the outside of the circle and information signs on the inside of the circle. At 11:am, we will have an optional Su***de Survivors Support Group (SSSG) to share what happens prior to the meeting, guidelines, and highlight some issues that have come up in past meetings. This is an information meeting. 11:30 am end of event.

To all: Be aware of my sentiments regarding Veterans so I am bringing it up. I am fairly confident that I already know two individuals who will assist, but I am hopeful that I will receive more responses, as this is a pressing concern.

September is Su***de Prevention Month, Week, and Day.
I have attached a flyer for survivors of a su***de loss to support what we do in su***de prevention with the Yellow Ribbon in schools, with 988, with our Su***de Survivors Support Group and other postvention efforts. Help us make this a special day with your registration/donation, getting a shirt, and sharing a photo of a lost loved one with HS students and other survivors that helps in your special healing and acceptance of your loss.
