Our Black alumni community came together to celebrate excellence, community, and the incredible talent that continues to emerge from our alma mater. From the inspiring Black Excellence Dinner hosted by the student government to closing out the weekend with an unforgettable concert by Emorja Roberson ‘22, every moment reminded us why we’re .

Forty years ago, a courageous collective of Black alumni, Black students, and leaders from the Notre Dame Alumni Association answered Rev. Theodore Hesburgh, C.S.C.,’s call to action in a historic meeting that laid the groundwork for a more inclusive Notre Dame. That transformative dialogue led to the founding of the Black Alumni of Notre Dame, the first of nine groups aimed at enhancing the experience and presence of alumni and students of all backgrounds.

Join us for a conversation with University leaders, founding members of the Black Alumni, and current students as we discuss our shared journey and co-create a vision for the next 40 years of progress. Opening remarks by Rev. Robert A. Dowd, C.S.C.

In this month that celebrates mothers, Black Alumni of Notre Dame hopes that all alumnae who are mothers and mother-figures enjoyed a wonderful Mother’s Day!

This May, our milestone fundraising campaign acknowledges such Black alumna, a mother of a legacy daughter who is herself a mother, while also joyfully welcoming 100+ new graduates into the Black Alumni of Notre Dame family on Saturday, May 17th, 2025, and expressing our sincerest gratitude for all who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the United States of America. Thank you!
