20 Liters

At least 2 billion people worldwide regularly drink water contaminated with f***s. As always, however, it is rare for great things to be accomplished alone.

That's not okay.

20 Liters makes dirty water clean for the most vulnerable using long-lasting and innovative solutions. 20 Liters began as a conversation with local church leaders in Masaka, Rwanda. It was June of 2008, just after a cholera outbreak where over 500 people died due to contaminated water. So when we asked pastors from 6 denominations what the greatest needs were, the need for clean

water was at the top of everyone’s list. From that moment on we set out to make clean water a reality for some of the most vulnerable members of the Masaka community. So we developed a partnership. Working closely with World Relief Rwanda, we were able to leverage their expertize at mobilizing local churches to bring change to empower local church members to make a difference in their communities through the installation of household water filters and rainwater harvesting systems.

We forgot to post for day 7, but there are 6 days until the Walk for Water WM. So 6/7 does mean a lot to us. On June 7 of this year, our shipping container will arrive in Rwanda completing a mission 18 months in the making. How do we feel? 6/7
