Good evening friends of Altrusa of Grand Rapids Michigan. Our flower sale has ended and with all of your help, we earned $563.50 to add to our funds to support our service projects in our community. Thank you SO MUCH for all your support! We will be doing another flower bulb sale in the Spring. I cannot wait to see what they offer! Thank you again and have a wonderful Christmas and a happy and safe New Year!

Just a final reminder. Our Sale ends on December 15, 2025. Thank you to all who have supported us in this endeavor to continue to improve our community. We are about $38 from raising $500 for our Vets Bingo, Seedlings Braille Books, Days for Girls, and Habitat for Humanity!

Flower Power Fundraising helps support groups, causes and communities using an earth-friendly alternative to traditional fundraising through the sale of flowers, bulbs and perennials that can be enjoyed for years to come!

On Thursday December 4, we had our annual Christmas party. Dinner, games, door prizes, lots of laughter and friends gathering for the season. Instead of a gift exchange, we decided to gather food for Hand2Hand which is a program that provides back packs of food for school children and their families for weekends. On Monday, this food with be delivered to the Hand2Hand warehouse for them to distribute to the various churches and folks who pack and deliver the food to the schools. Altrusa Intl of Grand Rapids loves enriching our community!

The Altrusa Club of Grand Rapids, MI is currently holding a flower bulb sale from now through December 12, 2025. You can follow the link in this post and place an order for some beautiful bulbs to be delivered directly to your home! By ordering, you are supporting us in our efforts to improve our communities. You will be supporting the Grand Rapids Home for Vets where we provide Bingo monthly for our Vets, Seedlings Braille books where we provide funding for printing Braille books for the Blind that sell for $10.00 each, Days For Girls providing feminine hygiene products that are reusable for people in our local communities to all around the world, and Habitat for Humanity that we provide back packs with school supplies and age appropriate books for each child up to age 18 when they are preparing to move into their new homes.
