☀️ What a beautiful day in downtown Grand Rapids! Today we had the privilege of serving lunch and clothing to our unhoused neighbors, and the sunshine seemed to brighten everyone's spirits.

We are so grateful for our incredible volunteers who showed up with servant hearts, warm smiles, and a willingness to make a difference. Because of you, not only was food & clothing shared, but kindness, conversation, encouragement, and dignity were shared as well.

Seeing our neighbors smiling, connecting, and enjoying a sunny afternoon together is what Be A Ruby is all about. Every meal served is a reminder that everyone deserves to be seen, valued, and loved.

Thank you to everyone who helped make today special. Together, we're building stronger, more compassionate communities ... one meal, one conversation, and one act of kindness at a time. ❤️💎

It was warm out there today, but we brought a BBQ meal with beef or pork, baked beans, cornbread, fruit and desserts for our friends downtown. 🩷💜🩷

I can't quite put my finger on it, but I just couldn't stop smiling today while serving lunch downtown ... even had a fine gentleman comment on my beautiful smile and how it will lift a few spirts today ... little did he know it was him, our fantastic group of volunteers and all our neighbors at Heartside Park lifting my soul today. Thank you Sara Wachowicz for making this amazing video of our day! 🩷💜🩷
