The Great Grandview Grape Stomp

The Grape Stomp Committee has changed the target launch date of the Chomp and Stomp to September of 2017. This event will include a BBQ competition and will be held at the Grandview Country Park Fairgrounds. Look for information to be rolled out starting in early 2017.

The Great Grandview Grape Stomp revives a long-time European tradition. Each year, townspeople from small communities gather together at harvest to celebrate and to help crush the grapes. Contestants in this updated version will hop into wooden wine barrels and stomp furiously, using their bare feet to turn 30 pounds of fresh grapes into juice.

Are you ready for a grape stomp this year? We are planning to hold it again this but are working out the final details. Looks like we will be holding it in September but moving it down a couple weeks to the last Saturday! Who's ready to stomp?
