Grand Terrace Veterans

Grand Terrace Veterans This page is dedicated to our U.S. Military Men and Women, past and present, for their sacrifices, dedication, and service to our great country.

The Wall of Freedom is a very different memorial to America’s Veterans. This monument proudly spells out the word FREEDOM in large block letters. Each letter stands six feet tall and approximately three feet wide. When completed, the memorial will span a space of nearly 60 feet. In front of the Wall of Freedom will stand seven flag poles. A permanent 25 foot American Flag pole will sit in the cent

er and will be flanked by 6 temporary flag poles, 3 on each side. The six smaller poles will have the flags of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard. The sixth flag will be POW/MIA. The American flag will fly every day while the other flags will be flown only during special occasions. When finally finished, the monument will have the ability to hold over 1800 plaques to honor individual veterans. Each plaque will measure six inches wide by three inches tall, large enough to contain three lines of text for the veteran’s name, rank branch of service, and other noteworthy information. These plaques will be permanently attached to the face of each of the letters.

Veterans Day Celebration At Veterans Wall Of Freedom Cancelled

Veterans Wall of Freedom, Grand Terrace, CA

VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION AT VETERANS WALL OF FREEDOM CANCELLED

The Veterans Wall of Freedom Organization and the Foundation of Grand Terrace regretfully announce the cancellation of the Veterans Day Celebration that was scheduled for November 11, 2020, at the Veterans Wall of Freedom in Grand Terrace, California. Just as the Memorial Day Ceremony earlier this year, this event has been cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and especially out of concern for our veterans, many who are elderly.

Although the celebration has been cancelled, Veterans Freedom Park will be open for limited visitation to the Veterans Wall of Freedom on Veterans Day from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. This will allow an opportunity for those who have ordered a plaque for their veteran to visit the site. Plaque certificates will also be available to be picked up. The number of individuals entering the park at one time may be limited and social distancing will be observed.

Plaque reservations can still be submitted. It is planned that plaques for any reservations received by October 21, 2020 will still be engraved by Veterans Day. Plaque reservations are available at VeteransWallOfFreedom.org. The public is asked to honor our veterans of the military that served our Country by flying the US flag at their home or business on Veterans Day.
