What you see here may look like cleared land and early construction work.

Every step of preparation is helping lay the groundwork for Hospital Yojoa, a place being built to provide essential hospital-level care for families throughout the Lake Yojoa region.

More than 250,000 people call the Yojoa region home. But for many families, access to hospital-level care can mean traveling beyond their community, sometimes when every minute matters.

We're building toward something different.

Hospital Yojoa is being developed as a Christ-centered mission teaching hospital, beginning with essential maternal and newborn care, emergency stabilization, surgical services, diagnostics, and more.

And now, we're inviting you to help make that vision possible.

Through our 2026 year-end campaign, Build What's Missing, our goal is to raise
$1.5 million by December 31 toward Phase 1A hospital construction.

The land is secured. Construction is underway. But there's still much more to build.

The hospital isn't here yet. Together, we can build it.

More than 250,000 people call the Yojoa region home.

For many families, accessing hospital-level care means traveling beyond their communities, sometimes when time matters most.

That's why Hospital Yojoa is being built.

Our vision is to create a Christ-centered hospital where families can access essential medical services, including maternal and newborn care, emergency stabilization, surgery, and diagnostics, while helping strengthen healthcare in the region.

And as we approach the end of 2026, we're entering an important chapter in making that vision a reality.

Over the coming weeks, we'll share more about what we're building, the progress happening on the ground, and how you can help move this mission forward.

Why does another hospital matter?

It's a question worth asking.

As communities grow, their healthcare needs grow with them. More families means more people who will need medical professionals, resources, facilities, and access to care throughout different seasons of life.

At Hospital Yojoa, we don't believe meeting those needs is about competition.
We believe it's about collaboration.

Hospitals, healthcare professionals, ministries, organizations, and communities each have a role to play. When people who care about the health of a community work together, we create more opportunities to serve families and strengthen access to care.

That's the heart behind Hospital Yojoa.

We are building toward becoming one more place where families in the Lake Yojoa region can receive compassionate, quality healthcare — while working alongside and supporting the healthcare system already serving Honduras.

More hands to serve. More opportunities for care. Stronger communities.

Progress doesn’t always look the way we expect it to.

Sometimes, it’s visible in the ground being prepared and the construction taking shape. Other times, it’s found in the quieter work happening behind the scenes: planning, praying, building relationships, and staying committed to a vision that is still becoming reality.

But behind every blueprint, every decision, and every milestone are people.
Mothers. Children. Families. Communities.

They are the reason this work matters.

Hospital Yojoa is still being built, and there is much work ahead. But every step we take today brings us closer to a future where compassionate, Christ-centered healthcare can be more accessible to families in the Lake Yojoa region.

Today, some of those steps look like construction equipment, blueprints, preparation, and people working behind the scenes.

Every great mission starts with one step.

Right now, some of those steps look like cleared ground, heavy equipment, plans, and construction.

But Hospital Yojoa has never been only about building a hospital.

Behind every step are people. People who have prayed, planned, given, worked, collaborated, and believed in what this place could mean for the Lake Yojoa region.
Because a building alone doesn't change a community. People do.

And with every stage of this journey, we are moving closer to a place where families can have greater access to compassionate, high-quality healthcare closer to home.

Today, we celebrate Honduras. 🇭🇳

A country rich in history, beauty, culture, and above all, people who make it a place worth serving.

At Hospital Yojoa, we are grateful to be building our mission here and to work toward a future where compassionate, high-quality healthcare can be closer to the communities of the Lake Yojoa region.

Today, we honor the country we are privileged to serve and look forward with hope to everything still ahead.
