Care work is economic infrastructure.

The Care Economy recognizes the essential work of childcare, eldercare, and caregiving that keeps businesses, families, and communities functioning.

Why it matters for small businesses:
🎯 Lack of affordable care keeps 20% of the workforce out of employment, shrinking the talent pool. (U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, 2023)
🎯 The U.S. loses $13 billion annually in productivity due to inadequate caregiving solutions. (ReadyNation, 2022)

Investing in care strengthens workers, businesses, and local economies alike.

The People First Economy team is taking time to recharge over Memorial Day weekend πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

We believe healthy teams build stronger communities, which is why we prioritize work-life balance through practices like:
✨ Flex Fridays
✨ Annual weeks off aligned with school calendars
✨ Generous PTO and sick time policies

These approaches align with guidance from B Lab on building resilient workplaces where people can thrive, not just work.

Upcoming Webinar for B Corps, Mission Driven Businesses and Businesses Curious About Website Accessibility

Radical Inclusion: Aligning Your Digital Presence with Your Inclusion Commitments, Legal Requirements, and B Corp V2 JEDI Standards

Website accessibility (making a site usable by everyone, including people with disabilities) is one of the new B Corp V2 JEDI standards. It is also LEGALLY required in the U.S., Canada, EU, UK and more, that your site be accessible. It is a great opportunity for B Corps to align their digital experiences with their sustainability and inclusion commitments.

Denise PΓ‘ne of Access Design Studio and Nathan Stuck of Profitable Purpose Consulting are giving a webinar to take the scary out of website accessibility: what it is, how to achieve it and meet the JEDI standards, who benefits, the ROI, the legal risks of not being accessible, etc. And they will answer aaalllllll your questions.

The presentation is interactive including giving you the experience of having a disability and using an inaccessible website.
