WHAT WE DO:

Tent Schools International comes alongside Christian leaders in refugee camps and other transitional areas to establish educational opportunity for children fleeing war, persecution and natural disaster. Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) supply food, water and basic shelter, but most children seeking refuge do not have the opportunity for an education. Tent schools and other porta

ble resources are the most efficient, effective way to bring education to displaced children, equipping them with the skills they need for life outside the camps. JOIN US:

We advocate for displaced children and their families through access to education and other welcoming initiatives, regardless of religion, ethnicity or nationality. Your support empowers this mission to connect with in-country partners to fund spaces for learning in refugee camps and other transitional areas.

This fantastic group of second graders from Byron Center Christian School recently helped raise over $800 to cover school supplies for displaced Iraqi and Syrian kids. How? These go-getters asked for extra chores around the house and used their earnings to help kids half a world away.

Over one million displaced in Lebanon. Our partners there are scrambling to help both Syrian families in Bekaa Valley as well as displaced and under-resourced Lebanese with food aid, medical supplies, and access to schooling, some of which has moved online for safety reasons.

In light of the current instability in the Middle East and the uncertainty around how long this conflict may continue, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Vision Trip 2026.

This decision was not made lightly. We were looking forward to sharing firsthand the work God is doing through the children, teachers, and communities we serve. However, your safety is our highest priority, and we feel it wise to postpone until circumstances allow for a safe visit.

We pray God’s peace will prevail over the region and His protection will cover those serving faithfully on the ground. We hold onto hope that God will give our partners the courage and endurance they need to continue to shine as a light in a hurting world.

Vision Trips are a combined mission and tourism program we offer through our partnership with Sense of Community, based in Amman.

You’ll meet teachers and get to know students as a classroom volunteer at Marka Education Center, plus tour some of Jordan’s most stunning sites, including Petra, Mount Nebo, the Jordan River, Wadi Rum, and the Dead Sea.
