Meet Hugh Ingalls, Co-Owner and Executive Producer of Ingalls Pictures and a member of the GR A250 team.

For Hugh, civic pride starts with getting involved. As he puts it, “The call to action from our documentary The Rhythm of Belonging is JOIN IN!”

That idea is at the heart of the locally produced film, which shares stories of Grand Rapids residents who have found connection and belonging by showing up and getting involved in their community.

Neighborwoods brings hundreds of volunteers together to plant trees throughout neighborhoods across the city and help move Grand Rapids toward its goal of 40% tree canopy coverage.

Grand Rapids earned the nickname “Furniture City” through generations of craftsmanship and manufacturing, and that spirit is still at work today across many industries.

GR A250 is proud to support Spirit of Grand Rapids Manufacturing, an entry by artist Tori Rodriguez .studios that celebrates the people behind our city’s rich industrial legacy.

Created with parts and materials contributed by local manufacturers, the sculpture pays tribute to generations of workers who helped build Grand Rapids while recognizing the skilled hands continuing that story today.
