A struggling mother brought her daughter to the medical center for a check-up, hoping for a discount. Seeing their need, the staff waived the fee entirely. After her daughter’s exam, the mother hesitantly asked if she could also be seen, as she too suffered from a heart condition and diabetes.
The doctor examined her for free and promised future check-ups for her and her family at no cost. Moved by her hardship, he ensured she received her prescribed medication without charge.

After losing his father, Karim felt a deep void, watching his mother struggle to provide for their family. With financial hardships weighing them down, he often felt inadequate and was even bullied by his peers.
The ministry leader responded by providing essential aid—food, clothing, and support—to ease their burdens. At the camp, Karim experienced a life-changing transformation through prayer and teachings. He grew closer to the Lord, sharing with his leader: “I thank God every day for His blessings. Even through these hardships, I see God’s light and will live a life of gratitude, offering Him praise.

At just six years old, Maria has already faced more than most. After enduring difficult circumstances, she arrived at our boarding home anxious, with a stutter and a fear of loud noises.

Thanks to the loving care of the Stephen Children staff, she’s making progress each day. She’s growing stronger, with the support of speech therapy and her caregivers. Though she still has tough days, Maria finds peace knowing she is the daughter of the King, loved and cherished.

Before bed, she prays: “Jesus, I love You and thank You for loving me and forgiving me when I do something bad. Thank You for the house parents and my sisters. Amen.”

"Cast Your Burdens Upon the Lord"

Jessica is 11 years old—beautiful inside and out. She has a kind heart, always eager to help others, and is a faithful daughter. But life has been tough for her. She often feels unloved, as her family isn't supportive and tends to stand in her way.

Her brother frequently fights with her, even tearing up her Bible during an argument, and her mother is often critical and negative. Despite these challenges, Jessica found comfort and support in the camps, where the ministry leader lovingly embraced her.

Together, they prayed, and the ministry leader encouraged Jessica to cast her burdens upon the Lord, who promises to sustain her. In that moment, Jessica vowed to pray for her parents, asking God to soften their hearts and guide them toward a better path.

Eriny’s Story: Nothing Can Repay a Mother’s Love

Eriny grew up in one of the poorest neighborhoods, where hope was scarce, and opportunities even scarcer. But what she lacked in material things, she found in the unwavering love of her mother—a woman who sacrificed everything to give Eriny a chance at a better life.

Through Stephen’s Children, Eriny received the support her family desperately needed: education, nutritious meals, and emotional care. Her mother’s love, combined with the guidance and resources from Stephen’s Children, helped Eriny believe in herself and dream beyond her circumstances.

Today, Eriny is thriving—her life a testament to the power of a mother’s love and the transformative impact of hope.
