Out in the community with our hospital partners!

Yesterday, Rachel Wilson, one of our Care Transition Managers, and Nick Wake were part of a small vendor session at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow in Lansing. It was a great chance to connect with the hospital staff who support patients and families every day.

Moving a loved one into senior care can be overwhelming, especially after a hospital stay. Sometimes, the signs that an aging parent needs additional support aren't immediately obvious. Small changes in their daily routine, home environment, or overall well-being can tell us a lot.

CarePatrol of Western Michigan – Capital Region took on Las Vegas! ✨

Our team recently had the opportunity to attend the annual CarePatrol Conference in Las Vegas, and we’re coming home feeling grateful, inspired, and energized!

One of the best parts of the conference was getting to connect with CarePatrol franchises from across the country. We loved sharing ideas, learning from one another, and spending time with people who share the same passion for helping seniors and their families navigate important care decisions. 💙

We were also honored to receive the Gold Circle Award and be recognized as a Top 40 CarePatrol franchise! 🏆 These recognitions mean so much to our team and reflect the dedication we bring to serving seniors, families, and our community every day.

We’re grateful to be part of such a supportive CarePatrol network and thankful for the opportunity to learn, connect, celebrate, and bring new ideas back home to the communities we serve.

If you haven’t had the chance to meet her yet, we’re excited to introduce Hannah Starks, a valued member of our CarePatrol team!

Hannah joined us as we expanded our service area to support more families throughout our new areas into Mt. Pleasant and Big Rapids. Fun fact, Hannah is based out of Mt. Pleasant!

With more than 13 years of experience working with older adults, Hannah brings a wealth of knowledge and a true passion for helping seniors and their families. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from Central Michigan University, with a minor in Gerontology, and has experience in assisted living, home health care, Medicaid eligibility, and senior living administration.

Hannah also has extensive experience with dementia and memory care, an area that holds a special place in her heart. ❤️

Through each of her roles, Hannah has seen firsthand how overwhelming navigating senior care can be. She believes no senior or family should have to figure it all out alone, and we’re grateful to have her helping families understand their options and find the right support.

Outside of work, Hannah enjoys spending time with her family and pursuing a variety of creative hobbies.

A Team Update from CarePatrol of Western Michigan – Capital Region

We have an important team update to share!

Lauren Wu has recently left CarePatrol, and we are grateful for the time, care, and dedication she brought to the families and communities we serve. We wish Lauren all the best in her next chapter. 💙

We’re also excited to welcome Natalie VanderPloeg as our new Care Transition Manager! Natalie will be assisting Lauren’s clients moving forward and continuing to provide the personalized support families have come to expect from CarePatrol.

A Grand Valley alum, Natalie brings more than 10 years of experience in senior living, including six years focused on building relationships and helping families navigate senior care decisions.

Natalie is passionate about making what can feel like an overwhelming transition a little easier. She believes every family deserves to feel heard, informed, and confident as they explore care options for someone they love.

Outside of work, Natalie enjoys spending time with her family and making the most of life with her two little ones. ❤️
