We'd love for you to attend our upcoming meeting on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at Boulder Creek Golf Club to hear Matt Rogers from ChemMasters, Inc. discuss Michigan’s updated VOC requirements for concrete sealers and what they mean for the industry.

Matt will cover the changes to low-VOC sealers, what specifiers, distributors, contractors, and producers can expect, and how these changes may affect sealer selection, application, and performance. He will also discuss the connection between the transition to Type IL cement and the new sealer requirements.

Matt Rogers is the Regional Sales Manager for ChemMasters, Inc. and has 31 years of experience manufacturing and selling concrete curing, sealing, and protective coatings. His specialties include acrylics, silanes, silicones, hydrocarbon resins, waxes, concrete repair, and restoration.

Yesterday, we had a great opportunity to tour two exciting projects at John Ball Zoo during our latest ACI West Michigan Chapter meeting.

The site tour included the African Region Expansion, led by Triangle Associates, featuring the new African savannah habitat and giraffe barn, as well as the recently completed Entry Otter Exhibit, completed by Pioneer Construction and Burgess Concrete.

It was a great chance to see the projects up close and learn more about the construction that went into these unique additions to the zoo.

Thank you to the John Ball Zoo and Triangle Associates for helping make the tour possible!
