Grace's Table Grace’s Table walks alongside teen mothers as they transition from adolescence to adulthood.

Grace’s Table exists to move teen moms from lives of isolation and absence of advocacy to a community in which they belong, with access to spiritual/emotional support, advocacy, and continuing education.

“Thank you for enjoying us.”

A mama sent those words to one of our team members after group this week, and we haven't stopped thinking about them.

Not thank you for welcoming us.

Not thank you for helping us.

Thank you for enjoying us.

There is something beautiful about knowing you aren't simply welcome in a space...your presence is genuinely wanted. Someone is happy you came. Your kiddo brings joy to the room. You are known, and people look forward to seeing you again.

That's the kind of community we want Grace’s Table to be.

Not just a place where mamas are welcomed.

A place where they are enjoyed.

A brand-new mama walked into Grace's Table this week.

We welcomed her, introduced her around, and invited her to make herself at home. Still, she sat quietly on the couch, taking everything in.

And then another mama noticed her.

She walked over, sat beside her, and within minutes they were talking like old friends.

One of our values is Love Lavishly.

Our mamas don't just experience that value here. They embody it.

They notice. They make room. They pull up a chair.

That's what community looks like.

Sometimes community looks like this.

A baby on your lap.
Someone else making lunch.
Kids nearby.
Other mamas around the table.

And for a little while, one less thing to figure out.

We serve more than 600 meals every month at Grace’s Table because sharing food is one of the simplest ways we know to create connection and care.

And we could use your help.

We have 12 meals between now and the end of September that we’re hoping our community will provide.

You don’t have to change someone’s whole world.

A few months ago, she probably wouldn't have described herself as a leader.

Last week, then she helped plan an Empowerment lesson about movement and mental health.

Then life happened.

The young mother she had planned the evening with had a family emergency and couldn't be there.

It would have been easy to cancel.

Instead, she took a deep breath.

She shared her story.

She led the workout.

And she discovered she was capable of more than she thought.

This week, she's back at playgroup with her son—learning, laughing, and growing alongside the same community that cheered her on.

That's the beautiful thing about community.

It doesn't ask people to become someone else.

It creates the space to discover gifts that were there all along.

Week after week, we watch young mothers encourage one another, step into leadership, and grow in confidence—not because someone told them to, but because they're surrounded by people who believe in them.

That's what community looks like.

Nobody asked her to do it.

Before the workout even started, she'd already put water bottles in the refrigerator so everyone would have something cold afterward.

It wasn't part of the lesson.

No one assigned the task.

She simply noticed what others might need.

Throughout the evening, she encouraged the other mamas, celebrated their efforts, and jumped in wherever she could.

It's easy to think leadership always happens at the front of the room.

But some of the strongest leaders are the ones quietly making sure everyone else feels seen, welcomed, and cared for.

Community grows when people stop asking, "What do I get?" and start asking, "How can I help?"

That's what community looks like.
