We kicked off the new CTeen year with an epic party! 🎉 From a delicious taco bar to an inspiring message and shofar blast from Rabbi Yosef, the night was full of Jewish pride and good vibes. We packed honey cakes to spread Rosh Hashanah joy, got creative with beautiful tote bags, and ended with an unforgettable foam party! Can’t wait for an amazing year ahead of fun, friendship, and Jewish unity!

What an amazing CTeen kickoff party! We had an incredible group of teens come together to celebrate the start of the new year. We started off with a delicious BBQ, enjoyed the powerful sound of the shofar, and had great conversations about the upcoming high holidays. Then the energy soared as we dove into thrilling games of laser tag! To top it off, we got creative with sweater bleaching and bracelet-making to raise funds for children in Israel affected by the war. Check out the highlights from our unforgettable day!

CTeen Chanukah Bash 2023!

Thank you to our amazing CTeeners who volunteered at the Grand Menorah Lighting in downtown Grand Rapids. The teens truly shined, enthusiastically playing the part of dreidels and handing out light up Chanukah gifts and delicious latkes and donuts. Our honorable Mayor Rosalynn Bliss was there too, enjoying the celebration and showing her support to our Jewish community. The energy was high as they prepped the crowd for the much-anticipated Grand Gelt Drop, igniting the fun by launching gelt from the cherry picker. It was a Chanukah celebration to remember!

After volunteering the teens warmed up at the CTeen Chanukkah Bash with hot cocoa, delicious lasagna, and donuts!

We set the tone for a spirited competition with exciting Chanukah themed games. Among them, the highlight of the night - a menorah building race. Teams had only 40 seconds to sn**ch their supplies and then 20 minutes to craft a menorah around a particular theme. And, let’s just say the result were incredible! Each Menorah was unique and beautiful, symbolizing something genuinely meaningful.

We concluded our celebrations in the glow of the menorah light, kindled together, its flame illuminating not just our gathering, but our hearts too. Each participant left, not just with a Chanukah prizes, and menorahs to give out, but also memories of a great evening together. Here’s to a wonderful CTeen Chanukah celebration that warmed our hearts, while lifting our spirits! 🕎🎉

Tomorrow!

This Sunday was our scheduled CTeen Pickle factory day and pack gifts for the IDF! Even if your teen doesn’t usually come to CTeen, we encourage them to join!

We’re going to be adding an Israel connection to the event in light of this past week. Please encourage your teens to come and to bring any and all Jewish friends they have.

This is a time where we gain strength from one another, where we stand together as a community and as a people and know we’re not alone. It’ll be a beautiful, uplifting afternoon. See all your teens all then!
