Today, some of our young leaders discovered that what makes us shine is the choices we make every day.

After reading The Sneetches by Dr. Seuss, our mini leaders explored how real leaders don't just follow the crowd. They practiced making healthy, safe, and kind decisions, then designed their own stars as a reminder to make 'star choices'!

Because every healthy choice helps us become the brightest version of ourselves.

A few star choices they highlighted:
-Drink water and not pop, because pop is full of sugar
-Sleep instead of playing video games
-Give compliments
-Play sports
-Tell the truth

New Van Alert!!!
We didn't just receive a new van—we gained new opportunities to serve.

This van helps us bring services, hope, and connection directly to our community. Every mile is another opportunity to meet people where they are and ensure distance is never a barrier.

With the high temps and humidity, stay safe, hydrated and cool!!!

Extreme heat & humidity has moved into West Michigan. Kent Homelessness Coalition released an updated list of cooling shelters. Check in with our vulnerable neighbors and friends and let them know where they can cool off.

Be aware too of the signs of heat exhaustion, heat stroke and when to get someone medical attention.
