Aaron had been experiencing homelessness and struggling with addiction for a long time. He often spent his days at a local park and spent his nights sleeping under an air conditioning unit, struggling to find food and shelter.

When our Outreach team found Aaron, they brought him a hearty meal, cold weather gear, and helped him navigate resources to start receiving his Social Security check. It was the beginning of a connection that changed Aaron’s life.

We want to give a big thank you to the business and community leaders who joined us today for the Business Leaders Luncheon sponsored by Express Employment Professionals Grand Rapids!

We’re grateful for the shared commitment to building a stronger community in West Michigan. Together, we connected with local leaders and explored how businesses, public agencies, and nonprofits can work together to address homelessness and create lasting change. Thank you to our panelists, Joe Trigg, Milinda Ysasi, Josh Lunger, and Chris Palusky, for sharing their perspectives on homelessness, current initiatives, and ways the business community can get involved.
