The projects success depends on effective marketing strategies and support from leaders and influencers within the West Michigan Community. People who live in Grand Rapids have
a large sense of pride for urban renewal. Over the past few years ArtPrize has taken over the city and brought to life the beauty of art and Grand Rapids. The attitudes about investing time in urban neighborhoods have changed to become a popular habit for residents of the Greater Grand Rapids area. People flock to the Uptown district to experience art shows, unique eateries, theater and much more. Grandtasia is a project that plans to lead efforts in promoting our urban neighborhoods as fun, safe and vibrant places to play and stay. What is 3D Projection Mapping you ask?
3D projection mapping, according to Wikipedia, “is any method of mapping three-dimensional points to a two-dimensional plane.” Using this technique, video artists are able to match video to buildings that they are projecting on and create cool 3D effects, making it look as though buildings are crumbling, changing their structure and more.
